Fremont, CA February 16, 2014: Fremont Hindu Temple has been constructed by Vedic Dharma Samaj. A nonprofit organization established in 1985 committed to provide the pious and enriching needs of the Hindu community. The members of the community decided it was high time that they have a prime place for community worship and confirmed on constructing a temple.
The community purchased the building in 1982 and officially established a religious institution in 1984. From then on the temple authorities worked on raising money and finally in 2006 an ostentatious cultural Hindu temple was constructed and a splendid Kumbhabhishekam and Pran Pratistha affair was held over 4 day to sanctify the new deities and construction.
The temple is located at 3676 Delaware Drive, Fremont, CA 94538. There are various activities that the temple offers like - All Dieties Archanas, Vahana Pooja, Satyanaraya Katha, Navagraha Pooja, Annaprasana, Punyavachana, Namakarnam, Shanti Havan, Yagnopaveetham, Gruha pavesha, office poojas at businesses and many more rituals.
Fremont Hindu temple is open all days of the week. On Sundays a regular Sunday worship program of Bhajans, Pravachan and Priti Bhoj is conducted. The fascinating aspect of the temple is even Yoga Classes are also held there.
The Temple is managed by the management trustees and the Management Board. Dr. Romesh Japra is the chairman of the board. Mr. Dev Bhatia, Mr. Birendra K Choudhary, Dr. Harish Puri, Dr. S. N. Shukla, Mr. Gajendra Mishra, Mr. Harsh Nagia, Mr. Kamlapati Yadav, Mr. Lalit K. Mathur, Mr. Madan Arora, Mr. Mahesh Gupta, Mr. Ramanand Prasad, Mr. Shyam Lahotia, Mr. Tej Singh and Mr. Vijay K Malhotra are the board of directors.
