Sunnyvale, CA February 12, 2014: A temple which truly believes in service to god in all the forms is - Sunnyvale Hindu Temple There are cultural activities happening in the name of the lord round the clock. Sunnyvale Temple was established in 1992. The building was purchased on December 23rd in 1992. The very first auspicious Puja was performed on Feb 10th 1993. The temple is a blend of modern and traditional Indian temples. The architecture by itself has a tinge of modernity with a large prayer hall and all kinds of deities brought from India.
The temple is located at 450 Persian Drive, Sunnyvale CA 94089. From Sunnyvale One should Head east on WEL Camino Real and make a u-turn the turn right onto S Mathilda Avenue then after 2.3 mi turn right on to Ross Dr. From there one take the first left on to Persian Dr and then take the 3rd right on to Morse Avenue and turn left. The Sunnyvale Temple will be on to the left side.
The main attraction of the temple is Preeti Bhoj. It is served by temple volunteers on Sundays, Wednesdays, first Friday of the month, poornima of the month and all big festivals. Devotees can choose to sponsor a particular day or donate to the temple for the purpose of Preeti Bhoj or they can pay their own amount.
All Dieties Archanas, Vahana Pooja, Satyanaraya Katha, Navagraha Pooja, Annaprasana, Punyavachana, Namakarana, Shanti Havan, Yagnopaveetham, Gruha pavesha, office poojas at businesses and many more rituals are performed at Sunnyvale Temple. Every day Lord Ganesha Abhishekam & Pooja is performed . Daily Aarati is done at 12 pm on Monday – Friday and 11.30 AM on Saturday and 1.30 PM on Sunday and daily activities are done dedicating to one god.
