In 1953 Chinmaya Mission was founded by his Holiness Swami Chinmayananda. His devotees formed a spiritual renaissance movement that now encompasses a wide range of spiritual, educational, and charitable activities, ennobling the lives of thousands in India and worldwide. The Mission has continued mushrooming across the universe and stands today with over 300 centers worldwide.

One such centre is Chinmaya Mission Boston. The mission is to provide wisdom of Vedanta to individuals from any background, enabling them to become positive contributors to society. The mission has established Sri Chinmaya Maruti Temple. Daily worship and special pujas in the shrine are performed by earned priests Pandit Srinivas Shastry and Manjunatha Bhat. Maha Shivaratri, Shri Rama Navami, Krishna Janmashtami, Ganesha Chaturthi, Deepavali, and Srinivasa Kalyanam are some examples of festivals that are celebrated.

The timings to visit Chinmaya Mission Temple are 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 5:30 Pm – 8:30 PM on all the days of the week. The temple will be closed between 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM except on specially specified days.
