A glimpse of our Hindu Temples: Today’s temple round-up: Sri Vedic Temple of Virginia, Washington
Washington February 06, 2014: Vedic Temple of Virginia sincerely felt a necessity of a Hindu Temple in Northern Virginia where devotees can easily come and Pray to various Hindu Lords. Some of the Indian families coined the idea and built a temple where various lords like - Lord Sri Sathyanarayana, Lord Siva, Lord Ganesha, Lord Venkateswara, Lord Sitarama, Lord Shirdi Saibaba etc can be worshipped. Before building a permanent place, a small place was taken for rent in Sterling to temporarily accommodate the few devotees and the temple was named as ““Sri Vedic Temple of Virginia””
Vedic classes, Ramayana and Mahabharata Stories are recited at the temple. Hair Offering, Anna prasanam, Namakaranam, Akshara bhyasam, Upanayanam, Rudrabhishekam, Satabhishekam, Nishchitartham, kalyanam, Swayamvaram, Bhoomi Puja, Durga Lakshmi puja, Lakshmi Kubera Puja, Sanata Gopala Puja, Ayusha Homam, Mahalakshmi Homam, Navagraha Homam, Sudarshana Homam and Ganapati Homam are the various services offered at the temple.

The Temple Timings are: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on weekdays and on Saturdays and Sundays the timings from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
