The term Venkatesa conveys ‘the remover of sins’. In this Kaliyuga to which he is the lord who appeared directly on the Tirumala hills protects devotees ,merely with their visits and prayers. He is an exclusive incarnation of lord Vishnu among his ten incarnations. It is the faith of the devotees that lord Venkateswara alone is capable of removing the afflictions of the Kali aeon.

He is called as the lord of Seven hills (Edukondalavadu) because his abode is on the seven hills. The Heaven is said to have seven gates. By the way, visiting lord Venkateswara is equal to that of lord Vishnu, according to scriptures. Reaching crown chakra (sahasrara chakra) in yogic way itself is equivalent to the visit of lord Venkateswara, according to scriptures of yoga.

The immense powers of this great lord are inexplicable. Lord Venkateswara becomes a soulmate in times of difficulties and guards the needy devotees. For this reason devotees worship him as ‘Guarding lord in critical times (‘apadamokkulavadu’ in Telugu).

Saturday is the favourable day for the worship of the lord Venkateswara. You would be blessed with all the riches and out of difficulties if you just qualify for the grace of lord Srinivasa along with his consorts Alamelumanga and Padmavati, by ardent prayers.
