Lord Subrahmanya is the son of the Goddess Parvathi and Parameswara. He is the form of glow of the fire. He is the complete form of knowledge. It is believed that his incarnation was aimed to kill the demon Tarakasura. The scripture of yoga says that the pulse (nadi) Sushumna is the form of Lord Subrahmanya. On one occasion subrahmanya taught knowledge to lord Eswara in the form of Guru. So, he is a very special guru.

He is the causator of children too! Worshiping lord Subrahmanya confers good children. He blesses his devotees with handsome and effulgent children like him. He also removes the problems of eye, nose and ear . There will be growth in education also. The best day to worship Lord subhramanya is Tuesday .He offers blessings and supports the devotees as a friend. Those who worship him with full faith will be blessed with strong will power.
