Santoshimata is belived to be the incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi and the pleasant form of Goddess Durga. In North India Santoshimata is considered to be the daughter of Ganesh. It is true that santoshimata is the celestial deity who offers all kinds of comforts and happiness to her devotees without any discrimination of celestials and human beings.

The performance of Santoshimata vratam will develop love and intimacy among family members. Relations strengthen.Problems related to marriage and those between wife and husband will be removed.
